A Dramatic Mission
In 2022, Molly Ishmael founded Majesty Publishing as a way to share quality sacred and family-friendly theatrical scripts. In her years a high school drama director, she experienced first-hand the struggle of locating appropriate options for competition and shows. She found that great pieces ARE out there, but finding them can be like searching for a needle in a haystack! Many times, Molly ended up writing original pieces to fill the void. Finally, she felt the Lord lay it on her heart to publish her own writing along with a collection of fantastic scripts by other authors and share it all in one place, so that fellow workers can find drama program resources without having to search far and wide!
With her background as a leader in church drama ministry, homeschool group drama producer, Christian theatre educator, youth fine arts festival competitor, and award-winning writer, Molly feels especially equipped to "know what to look for" when it comes to the unique needs of private and Christian schools, churches, and homeschool groups. It's her prayer that as our online catalog continues to grow, Majesty Publishing can fulfill our dramatic mission: To glorify God through the performing arts using the gifts and talents He gave us!

Meet our award-winning writers
Molly is a playwright, directer, and producer, and the founder of Majesty Publishing. Her background experience includes writing and directing for schools, churches, and competitions over the past 22 years. She studied at The Academy of Arts Christian Conservatory, majoring in Dramatic Production with a minor in Youth Ministry. Molly also has a BA in English, majoring in Creative Writing and Rhetoric, from UMGC. Beside managing Majesty Publishing, she teaches Theater and English at a Christian high school.

Jess is a playwright, director, and producer. Her theatre experience includes researching and writing historical and Christian fiction, script writing, and serving as stage manager in multiple productions. She is excited to share Christ-honoring stories with the world from stage! Jess holds a BA in English from Pensacola Christian College. She currently works in theater full-time.

JESSICA DAY
Playwright
Lauri Lou is a lyricist and composer from Nova Scotia. In her impressive career so far, she has been able to collaborate with several of her musical heroes including Ben Everson Music, Majesty Music, and Abel Hymns. Lauri Lou loves mentoring young writers and hearing what the next generation of “sing a new song” is capable of doing. Lauri's impressive academic accomplishments include earning a BS in English Education, an MS in Curriculum and Instruction with English specialization, and an EdD in Educational Leadership from Pensacola Christian College. She currently works as an assistant teaching professor at PCC and as a composer and singer in the music industry. She is also a published poet.

From inspiration to publication...
Majesty Publishing is actively looking for NEW authors and scripts to add to our growing catalog!
Our scripts support family values, encourage education, and uphold a high standard in thee performance arts.
We share scripts that fall into at least one of the following categories:
1. Sacred with spiritual value (such as Biblical stories)
2. Literary with educational value (adaptations of classics)
3. Historical with moral value (true stories)
4. Fictional with eternal value (such as allegories)
We are currently accepting submissions that meet the following criteria:
-- The script is well-written in a professional format
-- The content is entertaining and inspiring (yes, comedy is ok!)
-- No bad language is used
-- No gratuitous violence or graphic sexual situations*
*Majesty Publishing supports telling the truth on stage, and therefore, some scripts may include serious or controversial topics, but without requiring graphic or gratuitous content to be portrayed on stage.
